Here we answer all questions you might have regarding the synchronization of your soccer calendars.

How is my email address protected?

We store your email in two safe ways:

• A hashed version (one-way, using HMAC) to track preferences without exposing the address.

• An encrypted version for operational messages if you opted in.
  Everything is served over HTTPS and only site administrators can access this data. Your email never appears in your calendar feed.

How is the data feed for my calendar secured?

Your calendar is a private token URL (long, random). It contains no personal data—only match info. The feed is delivered over HTTPS. If you unsubscribe, we deactivate the token so the URL immediately stops working.

What’s the difference between syncing via the buttons and via a .ics file?

• Buttons (Apple / Google / Outlook): create a live subscription by URL. Your app periodically refreshes and updates automatically (new matches, date/time changes).

• .ics download: a one-time file (snapshot). It does not auto-update. To see later changes, you must download and import a new file.

How can I change my sync later if I want to follow different clubs?

Use the “Manage or stop your soccer calendars” link in any event description or visit our Manage Calendar page and enter your token.
Alternatively, create a new subscription with your new selection and remove the old one in your calendar app.

What happens if a match day or kickoff time changes?

• Live subscription (buttons): your app will refresh and update the event automatically.

• .ics download: no change—the import is static. Re-download if you want the latest schedule.

Refresh frequency is controlled by your calendar app, not by us. Some apps refresh within minutes; others take longer.

How long will my calendar keep syncing?

Indefinitely—until you unsubscribe. Your token remains active unless you deactivate it on our Manage page or remove the subscription in your calendar app.

What happens when I’m in a different time zone?

We publish events in UTC with proper timezone markers. Your calendar app shows each match in your current local time automatically (wherever you are).

How can I stop syncing manually?

Using the buttons (live subscriptions)

• Apple Calendar (iPhone/iPad): Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Subscribed Calendars → select → Delete Account.

• Apple Calendar (Mac): Calendar app → sidebar (Subscribed) → right-click → Unsubscribe.

• Google Calendar (web): calendar.google.com → left sidebar Other calendars → hover the calendar → ⋮ → Settings → Unsubscribe/Remove.

• Outlook on the web: Calendar → left pane Other calendars → right-click → Remove/Delete.

• Outlook for Windows (Microsoft 365): File → Account Settings → Account Settings → Internet Calendars tab → select → Remove.

• Outlook for Mac: Calendar view → right-click the subscribed calendar → Delete.

Using the .ics download (one-time import)

A downloaded .ics file is not a live subscription.

• If you imported into a separate calendar, delete that calendar to remove all events at once.

• If you imported into your main calendar, delete the events manually (tip: search for the phrase in the description such as “Follow this match live”).

Server-side deactivation (any method)

Open our Manage Calendar page from the event description link and deactivate your token. That instantly stops the feed on our side.

What should I do if I lost my token?

You have three safe options:

1. Remove the subscription in your calendar app (see steps above). This stops further updates for you locally—even if the server token still exists.

2. Create a new subscription on our site with your preferred clubs/leagues, then remove the old subscription in your app.

3. Contact support from the email address you used to subscribe and we’ll manually deactivate the old token.
   (For privacy and security, we don’t expose token look-ups publicly.)
